In a first-of-its kind development, MerCruiser is now offering a customized non-production sterndrive engine that delivers the power of a "big-block" – without the size, weight, price or fuel consumption.
325 horsepower and 390 pounds of torque! The 383 Magnum mulit-port fuel-injected power plant is based on a small-block 6.2 litre engine, but features a large-bore-diameter and longer stroke that provides 325 "propshaft" horsepower along with tons of torque. It's designed for medium-sized sport boats, runabouts or day-cruisers that desire a little extra from the performance department, but may not have the room to handle a big-block's larger size or weight.
